Stepping UP - Free ICT Training
Step up your skills – and your future!

This is a FREE course developed and offered by the Digital Porirua Trust in accordance with 20/20 Communication Trust’s Stepping UP initiative, an initiative which is supported by Microsoft.

Stepping UP is offered in several locations in Porirua, Monday through to Saturday! This course is also available in several other locations throughout NZ-please contact us to find out more.

Stepping UP consists of 16 modules. To receive a Stepping Up certificate you must complete four modules, which is four classes, the equivalent to attending 10 hours of training. There are no assessments. Classes are tutored in a Step by Step manner (where you follow the tutors lead) - at the end of the session you will be given notes to take home. If timetabled sessions are not convenient, we also offer a distance learning option which means you can study in the comfort of your own home.

To enrol, simply turn up at any of the locations offered at the beginning of any of the sessions. You do not need any prior knowledge of how to use a computer.

All of our classes are held in comfortable, safe and supportive learning environments and are child friendly - please feel free to bring children with you!
