www.ourporirua.com is a community web hosting portal designed to store your website for free. It is also designed to give you quick access to other small businesses, sports clubs, community groups and non profit organisation websites in the Porirua region.

Surveys indicate the main barriers to using new technologies are: cost, a lack of knowledge and understanding, and access to a computer. This project aims to help Porirua businesses and organisations to break through the entry barrier to establishing an online presence. Each hosted site is allocated 10MB of space, with a unique URL.  You are also provided access to online resources which assist you in building a site. Site content can be easily modified by you at any time, utilising editing software that allows password-protected access to your own website. Content management ensures the pages can be easily updated regularly so that information remains current.
