Adopt a Spot
Minimize

Adopt a Spot allows community groups and individuals to literally "adopt a spot".  They can do a makeover, plantings, tidy ups and rubbish removal.  This page shows you some of our recent activities.

Plantings

One of Keep Porirua Beautiful's main focuses is on planting natives in our City, as they are fun to do and a great green outcome for our future.

Here's some of our recent Adopt a Spot activities.

Bishop Viard College children helped plant 50 natives alongside Porirua Stream as part of "Take Action" for their adopted spot.

About 25 people helped plant over 300 natives near Paremata bridge.  We are also keen to tidy the area around the Paremata Railway station.  If you are interested in helping, contact us.

Our team from Keep Porirua Beautiful planted Mulenbeckia at the back of the Aotea Lagoon next to State Highway One to help tidy up the bank area.

Community Probations regularly tend to their spot near the south-bound off ramp, and it's really starting to look nice now.

Keep Porirua Beautiful has started putting in Adopt a Spot identification poles to mark our special areas.
